Some cars have a way of making you feel like a loser. This bastard was my nemesis. Two 15/60's rocked up at the Chookshed... they were both rubbish to look at and were both $100. I took this one because it looked the better of the two - and I was wrong. For such a small outlay it didn't really matter, but I thought the engine looked okay then realised it was seized once I got it home, I don't know why I didn't check it beforehand. I drained the oil and no less than 4 litres of water emerged before half a bucket of black cottage cheese. The bonnet was mint, but I discarded it because I didn't need one at the time. Two months later I needed a bonnet for a 24/80 aarrrgghh. What was also disconcerting... the other car I could have grabbed purred like a kitten when they started it. Mine, well sadly there was no way of resurrecting it, it was structurally dangerous and would have taken thousands of dollars above it's worth to get roadworthy. An undignified end, I let the kids trash it once I'd taken what I wanted. Seriously though, it doesn't matter at all... you win some and you lose some. I did get a good 4 speed gearbox for a hundred bucks and that's okay with me.
